Ender Wiggins
Andrew "Ender" Wiggin was the youngest of three children, despite the two-child policy. The only reason taht heHe learned how to do so at Battle School, an Earth-orbiting space station that trained similar prodigies. He received the same education as other children, but the military had recognized him as their best bet to be supreme commander and often manipulated its own rules to make sure Ender had not only the necessary technical skills, but also the right character for their ends.
As a child, Ender is bullied at school for being a "Third" (the third child in a society where excessive breeding is frowned upon), and tormented at home by his brother Peter, a bully who resents the attention Ender gets from the military. His only comfort in life is with his beloved sister Valentine. When he is accepted into Battle School, he is broken-hearted at the thought of leaving her.
At Battle School, Ender is in a completely different environment where there is a chance of even death though the administration is forbidden from protecting him in order to guarantee that he would never look to anybody else for help.
Luckily though, Ender breezes through academics, his main interest being the centerpiece of the school: the Battle Room. He becomes first a masterful player, then a masterful strategist, and is eventually assigned command of Dragon Army. He molds the group of shunned students into the most successful army in the school.
After graduating several years ahead of time, he is transferred to Command School on Eros. After Ender masters the game under ordinary conditions, the game changes from one with direct control of ships to one where he relays commands to others. HE goes through many tests mastering all of them.
The final battle takes place above a simulated planet, against an enemy with overwhelming numerical superiority. Ender thinks this as a grossly unfair test, and resolves to win by breaking the rules. This, he thinks, would convince his instructors that he is not the man to lead the Fleet into battle with the buggers. Instead of fighting the enemy ship-to-ship, Ender gets near the planet and drops an explosive bomb thus destroying the planet. Soon he is in perpetual shock because he is told that it was not a stimulation and it was actually the real thing. Ender falls to the ground in shock and slips into a coma. Thankfully he wakes up and is labeled ans the hero of Earth

Valentine Wiggins
Valentine Wiggins was Ender's only friend and sister as he grew up and always protected him from the constant threat of his ruthless brother Peter. she was very depressed when Ender left for Battle School. A couple years after Ender's heart-breaking departure, she ironically teams up with peter who tormented her favorite brother on his plan to take control of the earth. She becomes Demosthenes. Demosthenes however becomes extremely popular, making huge amounts of people aware of Russia's revolt against the US once the Bugger World is over. During this time, Valentine recognizes that Peter is trying to manipulate her for his own purposes, though Valentine realizes that she is manipulating him as well. While his powers of manipulation could create fear to be used to his advantage, she could truly persuade others to her point of view; she knows she can use this power on Peter.
Peter Wiggins
Peter Wiggins is a sadistic bully that loves torturing animals and terrorizing his siblings, Ender and Valentine. He is denied entrance into Battle School because he is too violent for the people in charge of battle school. He is notcompletley bad; toward the end of the novel, Peter admits he loved Ender as a baby and felt very angry when Ender would ignore him in favor of Valentine. After Ender leaves for Battle School, his family moves to North Carolina in an effort to help Peter with problems. It ultimately makes the situation worse, however; Peter does not change at all, but he learns how to affect a charming facade to manipulate adults into giving him what he wants. Valentine sees him for who he truly is, but remains silent because she feels guilty for sharing a bond with him.
At the age of 12, Peter convinces Valentine to use their parents' network identities, and eventually hidden identities that they have obtained for themselves, to submit writings to the world using fake identities(Locke for Peter and Demosthenes for Valentine). Demosthenesi raising awareness about the second Warsaw Pact while Locke, is calling for communication between the two nations.

Mazer Rackham
Mazer Rackham was a general from the Second Invasion that won the war for Earth. A lot of people thought he won by just luck but turns out he figured out the Bugger pattern and eliminated the queen which as a result destroyed the buggers because teh queen was their only leader.
After the war, he was sent back into space for 55 years at near the speed of light so he could be alive to train the general for the Third Invasion, Ender.

Bean
Bean does much work behind the scenes, putting together Ender's Dragon Army and helping as much as he can. In the final battle of the Third Invasion, it is Bean's remark in reaction to the impossible task ahead ("The enemy's gate is down") which leads to Ender's ultimate success in defeating the buggers.
The book ends with Bean being told of his past, and then meeting his parents for the first time.
Though Bean is six when he enters Battle School and only seven when the Buggers are eliminated, it is later stated that he does not return to Earth and his parents until age eleven. Bean is known as an extremely bright boy and is later revealed that he is much smarter than Ender Wiggins.

Buggers
Buggers (also known as Formics) are the main antagonist of the story. The Formics are a fictional insect-like alien species from the Ender's Game series of science fiction novels by Orson Scott Card.
The Formic species consists of hive-minded colonies that are directed by queens. While often described as "insects", the Formics are not really; they are still mammals. As told by Mazer Rackham, during the Second Invasion, if a queen dies, all the buggers under her control lose their intelligence and ability to function immediately. Formic queens communicate instantaneously with mental connections(sort of like mind messages) and can even do so with other species, although this is more difficult. Formics live in vast underground colonies that are pitch black and confusing for humans to navigate.
